ANNA LISA BIOGRAPHY & FILMOGRAPHY:

Anna-Lisa was born on March 30th, 1935 in Oslo, Norway with the birth name Anne Lise Ruud.  She first became involved in acting when she perform in stage productions at a local theater her brother owned. 
 
Originally she relocated to the United States to work as an au-pair.  While living in California she took up acting lessons and also found small jobs at local theaters.  She was soon discovered by agent, Walther Kohner when she was performing in the stage production of, "Lorca's Blood Wedding"
 
Soon she was working on television in small roles until she was cast in an episode of the TV western, "Sugarfoot" in 1958.  Warner Brothers took notice of her and she began appearing on other western series such as, "Maverick", "Bronco", "Cheyenne" and "Sunset Strip" and "Surfside 6".
 
Her biggest career role was working as a regular in the television series, "Black Saddle" (1959) starring Peter Breck which first aired on NBC and then later switched to ABC. It was this role that got her noticed by Columbia Pictures and she was cast in two films, "Have Rocket, Will Travel" (1959) starring The Three Stooges and "12 to the Moon" (1960).
 
As her career progressed she was not really offered any more decent film roles but did continue to appear on television occasionally in such series as, "Bonanza", "The Millionaire", "Laramie", "Islanders" and "Room for One More".
 
After leaving the United States to pursue stage acting in Oslo Norway, she is now retired from the industry and resides in her home country of Norway.  Her last stage appearance was in 1998 in, "Stepping Out".
