ALINE TOWNE BIOGRAPHY & FILMOGRAPHY:
Aline Towne was born on November 7th, 1919 in St. Paul, Minnesota with the birth name Fern Aline Eggen. She is most remembered for her lead roles in the 1950's Republic serials. Towne also made numerous appearances on such television shows as, "Lassie", "Leave it to Beaver", "Sea Hunt", "Wagon Train" and "The Donna Reed Show".
Towne is known as one of the last serial queens, however she was less memorable then many of the earlier Republic cliffhanger stars such as Frances Gifford and 'The Leopard Woman', Linda Stirling.
She married only once in 1946 to Charles W. Waller and they had three children and remained married until he passed away on March 26th, 1986. Up until 1970 she continued to make occasional television and film appearances and then spent the last years of her life doing what she enjoyed most, traveling.
Aline Towne passed away after suffering a heart attack on February 2nd, 1996 in Burbank, California.
