ALICIA SILVERSTONE BIOGRAPHY & FILMOGRAPHY:
 
Alicia Silverstone was born on October 4th, 1976 in San Francisco, California, born to Monty and Didi Silverstone.  She was the youngest of a total of three children.  She became involved in the entertainment industry at quite a young age when her father took some photos of her that were seen an opened the door to a number of commercial jobs as a child actress, her first being for a Domino's Pizza commercial.
 
Soon he was making television appearances on such series as, "The Wonder Years" (1988) which soon lead to roles in such films as, "The Crush" (1993) which then opened the door for her to appear in a number of Aerosmith's music video's.  She also managed to continue her education at San Mateo High School in California, however did not earn a diploma as she left early to pursue her career goals.
 
Although she was highly popular amongst teenagers, the film critics did not think much of her talent.  That was until she was cast in the role of Cher in, "Clueless" (1995) and finally with the hit of the film, critics began to take her more seriously as an actress.
 
She was soon signed to a contract for the, "Batman" franchise for a three movie deal for, $10,000,000 and was even offered as part of this contract her own production company, Kiss Productions which released it's first film in 1997, "Excess Baggage".
 
Other film roles over the years that she has added to her resume are, "Love's Labour's Lost" (2000), "Global Hersy" (2001), "Scorched" (2001) and then took a brief break from the industry before returning to a television role on, "Miss Match".
 
She was cast in a couple other pilots for television but non ever became very successful.  She continued to appear on the big screen in such films as, "Tropic Thunder" and also works as a stage actor sporadically throughout her career.
 
Silverstone has married only once to Christopher Jarecki in 2005 and they have one child and remain together today.  Some of her latest film roles have been in, "The Art of Getting By" (2011), "Ass Backwards" (2011) and soon to release, "Gods Behaving Badly" (2012).
 
Alicia currently resides in Los Angeles, with her family and remains working in the industry.  She is also known to be very eco friendly and her home has solar panels and an organic vegetable garden.  She is also a animal rights activist and is a vegan.  She was involved in the organization of a sanctuary in Los Angeles for rescued animals.
