Adam Beach ACTOR

ADAM BEACH BIOGRAPHY & FILMOGRAPHY:

Adam Beach was born on November 11, 1972 in Ashem, Manitoba, Canada.  He had a very difficult childhood as he witnessed his mother die from a car accident involving a drunk driver and not too long afterwards he lost his father to alcohol abuse.  He was left with his two brothers and they were raised by their grandmother with later help from an aunt and uncle.

It was while living with his aunt and uncle that he first became interested in acting, taking drama lessons locally and appearing in a number of local small stage productions.  He left high school early to work with the Manitoba Theatre for Young People.

Soon he had set his sights on making his professional career as a fulltime actor.  At the age of eighteen Beach was cast in Lost in the Barrens and also was making guest appearances on such television shows such as Walker, Texas Ranger, Touched By an Angel and then as a recurring cast member of North of 60.

Along with appearing on television and still participating in a number of stage productions, Beach also was cast in such films as Smoke Signals (1998), Mystery (1999), The Last Stop (2000), The Art of Woo (2001), Joe Dirt (2001), Windtalkers (2002) and Skinwalkers (2002).

Other appearances he made were on such television series as JAG, Third Watch and The Dead Zone.  One of his more recent roles was in Flags of Our Fathers (2006) for which he earned two Best Supporting Actor nominations.  Following this role he has been honored in Hollywood by receiving three nominations for his role in Bury My Heart at Wounded Knee (2007).  Other well-known roles have been on Four Brothers (2005), Biglove (2006), Cowboys & Aliens (2011) and also he appeared on the series Law & Order: Special Victims Unit.

Beach has been married twice, first to Meredith Porter whom he married in 1999 and they had two children before the marriage ended in divorce in 2002.  He then married Tara Mason in 2003 and this marriage also ended just four years later.  He currently lives in Ottawa, Canada and has three children - Noah, Luke and Phoenix.

He plans to try and run again after an unsuccessful bid for leadership of his Lake Manitoba First Nation.  Most recently, Beach will soon be seen on television in the series Arctic Air which will release in 2012.
